What LOJOW does

How the service works

1. Receive. The customer ships purchases from US retailers to our partner warehouse in Delaware.
2. Check in. Each parcel is opened, counted and logged against the customer's account so the contents can be reconciled later.
3. Consolidate. Multiple parcels are repacked into a single box and excess packaging is removed.
4. Hand off. The consolidated box is tendered to FedEx, UPS, DHL or another international carrier. Rates are compared before tendering.

What LOJOW is not

LOJOW does not operate vehicles or aircraft and performs no transportation of any kind. We are not a carrier, not a freight forwarder, and not a customs broker. Transportation is performed by the carrier the customer selects, under that carrier's own terms. Export declarations are filed by the carrier; the customer is the owner of the goods and is responsible for the accuracy of all declared information.

Why Delaware

Delaware levies no state sales tax. A customer shipping to a Delaware address pays no sales tax on US purchases, which in most other states would add roughly 6–10% to the order. This is the reason the receiving location is in Delaware rather than a state closer to the major ports.

Sales tax is distinct from import duties and taxes in the destination country, which remain the customer's responsibility.

Restrictions

LOJOW does not accept hazardous materials, lithium batteries shipped loose, flammable liquids, aerosols, tobacco and vaping products, cannabis and CBD in any form, counterfeit goods, live animals and plants, perishables, or items subject to US export control. Cosmetics, skincare, dietary supplements and food are not currently accepted. Among consumer electronics, only Apple phones and tablets are accepted, subject to advance declaration.
